New role: Senior Learning Facilitator at Torrens University – a change for the better

Since the closure of Endeavour College’s Office of Research, Endeavour’s path and mine have slowly been diverging, and I am pleased to announce that today I started as Senior Learning Facilitator – Naturopathy & Western Herbal Medicine, at Torrens University Australia (TUA).

Torrens Uni is a new, private and progressive university, with a range of different faculties including Design, Business, Hospitality, Technology, Education, and Health. The Health faculty offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in public health, nursing, and complementary medicine, including:

  • Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy)
  • Bachelor of Health Science (Western Herbal Medicine) – the only university in Australia offering a herbal-specific Bachelor degree
  • Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Nutrition)
  • and more …

I’m very happy to be part of the permanent team for Herbal & Naturopathic Medicine, working with my colleagues in the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane campuses, and looking forward to doing some good work in both curriculum and research.

I’m looking forward to teaching the Torrens herbal and naturopathic students, and continuing to pass on herbal knowledge to the next generation of clinicians and researchers.

Torrens also has an active Research Office, and is interested in fostering high quality research in herbal and naturopathic medicine, so I am looking forward to jumping in and getting involved in some projects.
