Last night the NHAA Sydney Chapter hosted Lyndsay Shume, fourth generation herbalist and Life Member of the NHAA, as the guest speaker.
It was great to hear Lyndsay speak about old-school herbal medicine in Australia, and discuss some of his time proven formulae. He also spoke about his past experiences with the NHAA, discussing historical figures who practiced and promoted herbal medicine for decades before I was even a member of the Association, let alone a Board member.
In today’s world of scientific herbal medicine, it is great to be reminded of the past, and learn from those who laid the groundwork for today’s profession.

The NHAA Chapters are groups run entirely by full members and offer a great opportunity to hear some interesting speakers, network with your colleagues, and gain some CPE points at the same time. The meetings are usually held every couple of months, and are open to full members, student members, and non-members.
For more information on your local NHAA Chapter see the NHAA website.
