It has long been said that having a good breakfast promotes productivity, balanced mood, and weight loss. But the research is not quite so clear cut.
In short, we are all individuals. For some, skipping breakfast because of the “morning rush” is counter-productive, making them tired, inefficient, moody, and even leading to cravings and weight gain. For others, breakfast itself can slow them down, and add on the kilograms, but delaying it until later in the morning is optimal. And food choice clearly plays a role, meaning that for some a breakfast cereal might be ideal, others fruit, yoghurt, or eggs.
