BBC on Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)

July 27, 2013 | Medicine | 0 Comments

The BBC has an interesting discussion of how electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is still being used to treat around 4000 people a year in the UK. They present both sides of the argument – those who believe that ECT can be of benefit as a last resort, as well as those who are completely against ECT, classifying it as a barbaric form of treatment.

Some interesting patient stories from both sides of the fence are also presented in the article. Read the full story and watch the accompanying short videos here.
